  • Dallas beats Seattle

I have to be the first to admit it...Well, with more than 2 minutes left in the game...it is over for Seattle. Dallas played a far superior game today, and the better team won.

Congrats to the Dallas Cowboys...they deserved the win.

    It is not...Go Seattle......it is now...Oh NO...Seattle

That sounds like a football fan that has had their team beaten by Seattle in the past. Probably a 49ers fan...

The bottom line is that the better team won today....have to give credit where credit is due. Dallas was the better team today. We will see them in the NFC playoffs. :D

Rick, you may be right. With 5 wins in a row...Dallas has changed the game play, and things apear to be working pretty darn good right now. It is not easy to come into the Seattle stadium and play well, due to the noise, and the crowd, and against the defending Superbowl Champions, but Dallas did it today.

Yep, brother-in-law lives in Port Orchard. It's a good rivalry between us.

In spite of the special teams screw-ups, the offense was able to control the clock and keep Russel Wilson off the field. That catch by Terence Williams was the game-winner. We (Cowboys) did get a couple of "gifts" from the officials. I saw at least 2 blatant pass interference calls they missed. But, I think they were calling the game pretty loose in the secondary.

I cannot measure whether Dallas played that good, or Seattle just did not look as sharp as I expected them too. Do you think Seattle was not up for the game?

Cruiseman, I cannot say whether Seattle was UP for the game, or not, but they should have been. Yes, they did play on Monday night, but a professional team should be used to that short time period between games, especially when they get to come back home, and play in front of the home crowd.

And, yes...the officials did give the Cowboys a couple "gifts". Seattle has seen that before...and by this exact same head ref.....as he was the one that came out two years AFTER the 40th Superbowl, when Pittsburg beat Seattle, and he admitted on national TV that his team of refs did in fact make errors during the Superbowl...that did in fact affect the outcome of the game.

It only took him two years to come out and be honest about it.

But...let's not take anything away from the Cowboys today, they played a much better game than "my" Seattle Seahawks, and Dallas deserved the win.

MMR. You know the OKC Seahawks would sound good. It would go nicely with the OKC Thunder and all those Boeing jobs that are moving to Oklahoma.

Oh, Rick...you are a bad man for going there...aren't you ? :p In the Seattle area, we all dislike Howard (the duck) Schultz, as a traitor to our Seattle SuperSonics, and to the OKC buyer that lied to us about keeping the SuperSonics here in Seattle.

I can assure you, the Seahwaks will never leave Seattle, because the principal owner of the Seahawks...Paul Allen...co-founder of Microsoft...is too imbedded into Seattle's lifestyle to ever let a sale happen.

As for the Boeing jobs...that is an unfortunate mistake, because the quality of the planes coming out of South Carolina, and the parts coming out of OKC, leaves a lot to be desired. I know of folks that work in both South Carolina and in OKC, and they are honest enough with me to admit that there are serious quality control issues...and that THEY would not willingly fly on a newer Boeing plane, because of what their co-workers have been doing.

Nice try at humor......but Seattle was not as attached to their SuperSonics as they are to their Seahawks, and...as for the Boeing jobs leaving here and becoming an issue with quality control...the world is over-crowded as it is.

Way to go Dallas! In spite of a few mistakes (blocked punt, dropped punt, several penalties) the Cowboys definitely dominated Seattle in yesterday's game. Da Boys put a hurtin' on the Superbowl Champs. I can't wait for them to do the same thing to the NY Giants next weekend.

Lol. Yea, we could not support a pro football team and the Sooners both.

Sad to see Victor Cruz suffer the knee injury.

They are one of the oldest rivalries in football history, so you can't be a Cheesehead, and a Bears fan at the same time.

Agreed. The Eagles smacked the Giants in a shutout on Sunday. NY will definitely miss Cruz as a Wide Receiver next weekend. That torn tendon will probably keep him on the IR list for quite a while.

MMR. The dude that used to own the thunder(super sonics) should have taken note of a old saying before dealing with the Oklahoma dudes that bought it. The saying is " when you set down at a table to do a deal first look around and find the sucker. If you don't see one then you are the sucker".
