Reading all the far left posts by a member is just like watching MSNBC. I don't watch it anymore and I don't reply to the posts. It's just like a fart in an elevator. It goes away after awhile if you ignore it..

I don't care in the least if all of you put me on your ignore list.
I'm not posting these to solicit responses from any of you.
In fact, the less you all respond to my threads the better.

LOL you don't care if we read them which is good because if I can find the ignore button I won't even know you posted and we'll both be happy.

I don't post them to be read by the conservative members on this forum.
I post them so any progressives who might wander in and consider joining the forum will feel right at home.
So please, feel free to use your ignore button. You won't hurt my feelings in the least.

How did you know who he was talking about? I didn't see a name (or handle) mentioned..

But, if you're not posting them for responses, what isyour purpose?

Typically, on a discussion forum, the intent of a post is ... well ... discussion.

Of course, it's no surprise that you would be ... different

Interesting - I also keep fairly quite. But its not working. While I consider myself a moderate, I see the totalitarianism of both extremes. And the hate generated is counter productive to say the least.

I agree here also. Posting is about starting or commenting on a topic.

                    And finally

Interesting post. I wonder why you choose to use the term "conservative" for one side and "progressives" for the other. Liberals seems more accurate as a political entity as not all liberals are progressive in any sense of the term. Or were you specifying a sub-group? Also, in many places moderate conservatives are considered and labeled progressive.

Also remember, at one time both parties had liberals and conservatives. By today's standards, JFK was a conservative democrat. Alas both parties have pretty much alienated opposing viewpoints.

I choose not to place anyone on ignore. While I may disagree with things in OTD, I do want to know what others think and believe. Just remember Sun Tzu.

I've put a couple on Ignore who can only be found causing hate and discontent in this section of the forum. It's made the OTD much more pleasant.
