  • Dallas Ebola patient dies

Watching John Kerry tell us that we need to keep borders open and that we need to keep bringing the plague to the USA. But why?

For one thing, it is a BIG government solution. Simple solution, deny access to our country by anyone from West Africa. How many Americans will have to die before they get it?

Pure Stupidity. This is not the sort of problem you can afford to dance around politicaly because it could very quickly escalate out of control.

And now, there is a case in Frisco, TX. Just up the road from me. But, I have confidence that our wonderful government can deal with this.

The powers that be need to have a national emergency so the progressive / liberal government can come 'save' us before the mid-term election. So they will allow one.

Also can declare martial law and maybe get broad emergency powers to change the constitution....Sounds far fetched, but....

I heard the CDC Head say that stopping flights into the US from West Africa would not stop the spread of the Ebola virus. BUT I have not heard the expert state that stopping the flights would help spread the Ebola virus; so why not stop the flights.

Now there is talk of wealthier West Africans who think they might have been in contact with Ebola infected person to try to fly to the US as the rumor is the US has a cure here since the two missionaries were saved. I can see people who think they are infected and are fearful and that have the money attempt to get to the US by any means, even walking across the southern border.

People will do desperate things to save their lives.

AND I bet ISIS and other terrorist groups are trying to figure out how to have some followers infected and get into the US to infect us, our schools and malls, to create terror. With mass media, it would not take much to create a panic. A few cases pop up here and there around the country and panic will set in....

I guess we can all relax. No need to fear. I heard that they are going to start taking people's temperature at airports. Big government saves us again.

Authorities don't know what to do with body which still holds the EBOLA virus. No one wants to handle it. Jesse will probably protest that not even the dead can get respect. Sharpton will ask DOJ to investigate Violation of dead man's Rights. Obama will have a fireside chat claiming that if he had a......... The U.N. will send a human rights delegation to the U.S. to monitor disposal of body. The president of Mexico will give a speech that the U.S. is racist because of wanting to check people for deceases and close borders to people with deceases.

I suppose we should all be thankful that many of us got to live during a small slice of time, at the very end of the greatest nation on Earth's greatness. Most of us got to see American put a man on the moon, and the space shuttle (America's last real accomplishment). Now we have to pay Russia for a ride to space and our light bulbs come from China.

You forgot one point that we got to see. We saw a man voted into the presidency twice that was violating our constitution and destroying this country and that a majority of the people either thought he was doing a good job, had no idea what was going on or didn't care. Pretty sad.

Now the family of the Ebola victim is already claiming the man wasn't treated the same as the white doctor and health aid that recovered.

I wonder if the family of the Ebola victim will pay his medical bills? Did he have insurance? They should be grateful that he was allowed entry into the US and that everything possible was done to try to treat him and (I bet) at no cost to the family (including body disposal).
