  • That "thrill" up his leg seems to be gone

Even the idiotic uber-liberal Chris Matthews is criticizing the president... could the bromance between the faux-journalist Matthews and the Golfer-in-Chief be gone?

Of course, Matthews isn't blaming the GIC himself... he's blaming those around him. So denial is still in play. Things are headed south for Obama so it'll be interesting to see how how Matthews will attempt to spin things.

Dear Leader is going to start trying to switch the media's attention to his booming economy for the mid-terms. I doubt he'll convince many people, but then again I was shocked he was elected to a second term. I'm not going to underestimate the number of the confused and uninformed voters can't seem to accept cause and effect on reality.

I think the tingle old Chris felt was just gas that day! He is so full of crap anyway. I have not viewed him in six years now. Used to sort of like him.

Maybe Chris is worried about his being beheaded and wondering if Obama will do anything about it. Chris Matthews is a socialist, with nothing better (more left) than Hillary for president he will run to her.

Turns out that what Chris Mathews thought was a thrill running up his leg, was in fact just a trickle running down his leg.

I love all this talk about a growing economy. Most people in America have never even lived through a "boom" economy. The closest thing I have lived through was during Reagan admin. And even then, it was just because the Carter years were so bad that anything felt like a boom. Most periods of economic growth, in my lifetime, have been bubbles which were purely based on schemes or ignorance.

In the 90s, it was the Internet bubble. The Internet stocks were growing and people were making millions because nobody understood what the Internet was.I briefly worked for a company that basically fooled its way into making millions for the founders. They never had customers and they had no product. That bubble burst just about the time Bush was coming into office his first term.

Then came the real estate, mortgage bubble. Another spurt of growth based on a scam, and most everyone knew it. I knew when they were making those loans that those loans were going to end up in trouble 5 years down the road.

The US economic growth is not based on solid fundamentals. It is just a series of bubbles and bursts. And trying to survive in business through these cycles is perilous. Just as your business gets growing, and you take the leap to invest for the future growth...BOOM, the bubble bursts and you are left holding a bunch of debt and no customers.

This did not become apparent to me until after I traveled to China a few years ago. Talk about a BOOMING economy! You have never seen so many new Mercedes, Lexus, BMWs, you name it. In a 2-hour bus ride from Beijing to somewhere, I don't recall, I counted more than 200 hi-rise construction cranes. There are buildings going up everywhere. How many large construction cranes have you seen in the past year? I can think of one maybe here in Dallas.

When an economy is growing, or booming, there are NO unemployed college graduates. Anyone can get a job, and usually a good paying job. As a microcosm, look at Midland, Texas. A Dominos delivery driver starts out at $15 an hour PLUS tips. When you have a growing economy, you don't need a minimum wage, the MARKET provides the high minimum wage. The only reason you ever need to raise a minimum wage is if you have a weak economy. So, by proposing a minimum wage increase, the President is admitting (without knowing it) that the economy is stalled.

The same is true of tax increases. If the economy is growing, you should never have to raise tax rates. Why? Because you will always be getting the same percentage of a growing base. But, Progressives don't believe this, they believe there is a single pie and the pie cannot grow, and the more you have of the pie, the less there is for everyone else.

Right on all counts... of course the liberal socialists will never see it that way... and that is precisely why socialism has never worked anywhere.

I might not agree that Socialism does not work anywhere. But, it certainly has failed in most places. Norway might be an example of a place where Socialism seems to work, and in fact, Liberals love to point to the Scandinavian countries of examples of Socialism's success. However, they have a small population, unlimited resources (for now) from North Sea oil and no need for national defense. They also have very little infrastructure. They also have a homogeneous society, by comparison to European or Western countries. They have cradle to grave entitlements. But, if the oil runs out, they are screwed. Try throwing 50 million Mexican illegals into their healthcare system and see how well it holds up.

Socialism can work as long as you don't run out of other people's money. Europe has benefitted for the past 60 years by not having to spend anything for defense, America has taken care of defending the West. They have had the luxury of being able to experiment with socialized medicine and the foolish wind energy projects, and the like. Even without having to spend on defense, their socialized medicine in bankrupting them. Why? The same as here. When you have Socialism (freebies and giveaways), poor people from other countries will find a way to get in to get their "fair" share. The Brits have millions of illegal Muslims, in Spain its the Africans. Greece has the problem too. Once liberalism takes hold, as it has here, there's no stopping the flood of immigrants. What we have on our southern border is not immigration, it's an invasion.

I thought it was funny when they talked about the guy with Ebola in Dallas being sent home and how that was a break in protocol. You are lucky if you can even find anyone in Dallas that speaks English in an emergency room. Many of the healthcare workers are from India or Mexico, and many can barely speak English.

In Arizona, all the political advertisements for Democrat candidate don't have the donkey logo and they aren't stating they are Democrats. One even states that they are an "independent" voter in DC in an attempt to distance themselves from the Democrat party & ideals to get elected. Then after the election, they will be voting the same old liberal/progressive party line....

Its just interesting to see the social engineering taking place and how they are afraid to stand up with their core beliefs systems; as they want to get elected and know the public won't elect then if they are honest with them.

Thesad part is that same people fall for the same BS every election and then complain about their elected politicians until the next election and then fall for the same BS and re-elect them....
