Updated my iphone 5 to the newest IOS 8 and everything seems to work well. One new feature - Siri can be set to respond to a voice prompt if the phone is plugged in so you don't have to pick it up to ask for something. So today the phone is setting on the desk plugged in and I'm listening to a news report about Syria. Suddenly Siri proclaims "I'm sorry I can't find anything to read" WTF? I look at the phone and the phone has transcribed the last 15 seconds of audio from the computer's news broadcast and then commented because it can't find what it thought I said to look at.

This is scary. Wonder why Apple started using the NS_'s (big brother's) built in listening software to enhance Siri?

Yep, no need to panic... All is well. I did need to update most of my apps though... No biggie. I think I'm gonna like it. 👍

Yet one more reason to not upgrade the OS

I have an iPhone 4 and had a 3 before that. I think I'm dumping it for an S5

I just installed IOS 8 on my new 5S.
So far, no complaints. And you can always turn Siri off if you don't like what it's doing.

It appears that IOS 8 has somewhat better power management. I've had my 5s turned on for 34 hours and my power level is at 65%.

Just updated both my iPad an iPhone 5s two days ago. Everything seems to work ok so far. Did reebok the iPhone to get the delete function in message to work correctly.

Whoops... Apple just stopped downloads because of problems.

"The iOS 8.0.1 update is no longer available after multiple users earlier reported serious issues with the new version of the operating system, one that was expected to fix a glitch with the highly anticipated HealthKit apps.

Apple confirmed to Re/code that the company is investigating the issue and has pulled the update."
