  • Interesting (short) Video on Global Warming

It's worth spending the 4 minutes and 35 seconds to view this clip. The interesting thing is the guy being interviewed, Dr. Patrick Moore, who is one of the co-founders of Greenpeace. The typical mainstream press won't give this guy the time of day because he now views Greenpeace as a radical organization that is not the same as the organization he helped found... but I digress. In this video, he talks about the fact that based upon satellite measurements of surface temperatures, the earth's climate has not warmed in 19 years... yet all we hear about is doom and gloom and energy taxes and reduced electrical production from coal-fired power plants and... blah, blah, blah

If anyone is interested, I can discuss the major ways that global temperatures are estimated... and how data is fudged.

    I don't see a link to the video. :D

People should realize it's a scam when Moore, the founder of Greenpeace, GREENPEACE for crying out loud, says as much. Then again, at least half of our population is either high on dope or is more concerned about the size of Kim Kardashian's butt.

Locally those 95 degree plus global warming temperatures are slacking off bit. They do say though this winter is going to be another ice age.

Has anyone looked into Geo Engineering? This was recently brought to my attention and it is rather interesting as to the possibilities of why our weather is so strange lately. Not that I believe or disbelieve, but looking at the drought over my side of the country and the severe winters and storms elsewhere, it does make you wonder. Check it out, lots to take in. - http://www.globalresearch.ca/chemtra...eering/5355299

That is only a small segment. And why would I be kidding? I am only putting up what I have been told about and read so far so what do you mean by me kidding? Do you know more about this geo engineering or is it BS?

Well I guess in the pure sense, chemtrails do exist... if you define water as a chemical.

When jet fuel (or any other oil-based fuel) is burned, the principal byproducts are carbon dioxide, carbon monoxide, and water vapor. So what happens when water vapor at high temperature is rapidly cooled to very cold temperatures? It condenses.... essentially forming fog, which turns into ice crystals. This is what you see being emitted from jet engines at high altitudes, where the temperatures are routinely on the order of -65F. The process I described is simple physics.

Anyone that thinks otherwise has probably spent too much time with Dennis.

I refuse to waste my time reading about "geo-engineering" from a source that is so wrong about vapor trails/contrails. This guy (or guys) is a conspiracy nut and has taken a position that is way out in left field (with Dennis)

As I mentioned there is more to it than water vapor trails and one needs to read into it if interested but you refuse to waste your time. I am not saying it is true or not true but I found it to be of interest to look past the first sentence. Here is just a clip.

Geoengineering is not a conspiracy, it’s the deliberate and large-scale intervention in the Earth’s climatic system. Simply put, it is the spraying of chemicals into the air via planes into the atmosphere. Independent testing over the past decade confirms that Chemtrails around the country contain a dangerous and extremely poisonous mix of chemicals that includes: barium, nano aluminum-coated fiberglass [known as CHAFF], radioactive thorium, cadmium, chromium, nickel, desiccated blood, mold spores, yellow fungal mycotoxins, ethylene dibromide, and polymer fibers. According to those who are responsible for geoengineering, the goal is to reduce global warming.

I think some hat-shaped tinfoil is in order.

You are completely wrong my friend, just a little interested in things and open minded. Enjoy your day.

See that bolded part, as I read that, I remembered a conversation I had with my daughter when she was 5 (she's 29 now, so it's been a while). Here's the story.

                          =-=-=-=-=-
We were riding in the car on a hot humid Texas summer day (a redundant description, I know...) and Katie had a cup with a soft drink. She said "Daddy, why does the cup have water on it? Does it have little holes that let it leak?"

I had always made it a practice that when she was intelligent enough to ask a question, she deserved an honest and intelligent answer (except for Santa Claus and the Easter Bunny, of course). So I figured she deserved an intelligent answer.

I said "baby, there is water in the air all around us, in particles so small we can't see them. When that warm water in the air hits the colder cup, those small particles come together and make bigger drops of water that we can then see. They call that 'condensation.'"

She got an "I'm really thinking about this" look on her face, then after a few seconds she said "Daddy, if you didn't know; why didn't you just say so?"
                          =-=-=-=-=

As I remembered the incident, it occurred to me, she was a lot like the "chemtrail" people; but she had an excuse. She was five.
