  • Just wondering . . . . .

I know that we have some talented PC folks here in our midst, thus I will throw this out for general noodling. I believe that with Google it's good to get your ABC's in order so as to get to the top of the search as well as hits (or so I think, LOL). I have read the posts about building the library of "data" for new riders to locate, and refer to for help. With that, and as members bring this data . . . I mean import this data, would it be of any help to "title it" in the Subject Line in such a way as to help with this search and have it post/found near the top?

As you "professionals" can see, I am not the best with this PC stuff, but I plan to start adding some pages to the Trike page and want to be sure that the "real Wheels" is located first.

Thanks for your help with this.

I think I'm understanding your question correctly, and if so, the answer is Yes, putting information in the subject line of a post will improve search results.

Different search engines use different algorithms for their search engines, and the details are often hard to completely understand - however, all of them use Title of the page as part of their database (the title of pages on this forum are taken from the Subject). In addition, virtually all of them also use the "Descrption" of the page for their database. It appears that in this version of the software, the initial post in the thread is used for the description.

Yep, you got it. I typically in the past would "title" some of my posts with a quip like "I'm giving it all shes got Captain" when talking about my shifter and some of the problems I have had with it. I want to be very straight forward here so as to "catch the searcher" first.

      Thanks
