Average mechanical skills? Can be done in about three hours.

I believe the web page(s) may have the installation directions - read then see if you'd tackle the job.

I stumbled into the Rivco setup from Rockys comment. Originally I was going with Pakit rack because I wasn't interested in trailer hitch. But if it cost the same may as well.

How difficult is Rivco hitch installation?

So, you can pay the amount that Rocky shows above - or you can be into this for another $100 to $200 and have a full-on hitch, with a great bag and rack.

    I went with this:

    https://rivcoproducts.com/shop-by-mo...gold-wing.html

Then not long ago, added this:

    https://rivcoproducts.com/shop-by-ca...ck-11-x16.html

    https://rivcoproducts.com/shop-by-ca...-rack-bag.html

    https://rivcoproducts.com/rack-bag-lock-rods.html

The last three items were purchased a while back together. I don't recall, but someone had a sale & it was a great price.

What is the more sturdier rack? I didn't know there were others that fit this niche!

    Here's the manufacturer...

    https://www.pakitrak.com/

I bought mine retail, sold it a couple years later when I decided just to get a hitch instead. I've since augmented that with a rack that's much more sturdier than the Pakit-Rak.

Luck to you in your search!
