  • Best price for a set of Stones for the 1800?

On another site there were a couple links to great deals on Stones.
    BUT,
Since I don't go there anymore maybe someone can give me a link here.
    Thanks,

I don't buy rear motorcycle tires so I have no clue what they cost, but I know this company's prices are hard to beat on the front tire. I'd prefer to give my business to Cyclemax, but their prices on tires just aren't even close.

    BRIDGESTONE EXEDRA G704 180/60R-16 M/C 74H, REAR, $157.85
    BRIDGESTONE EXEDRA G709 130/70R-18 M/C 63H, FRONT, $122.50

Back in the days of riding a GL1200, Americanmototire consistently had the best prices on tires. Before then, there wasn't much yet available on the Internet. Al Gore wasn't done with it yet. Hopefully next year we will see more sales like we did in the spring.

I don't buy MC tires online - I had a bad Metz experience (bad tire) I will never do that again - just for my peace of mind - You can shop where and how you like

SBB, just make sure that the tires you buy and receive are not old tires. Meaning....a lot of discount tire sellers are able to sell them so cheap because the tires are 1 or more years old, and they get the tires from the higher priced vendors that won't sell a tire that old. It is very important to look at the DOT date code on the side of the tire, and see when it was made. If it is a front tire...and it is close to...or more than...a year old...I will not accept it. Tires can age, and if stored improperly, the rubber can deteriorate even faster. So, be aware............

For those few that are not aware of the DOT date code on the sidewall of the tires.....here is an example:

On the sidewall, you will find a code, that will be in a oval shaped indentation. The code will be 4 numbers, like......1813. That code means that tire was made in the 18th week...of the 13th year. That means....around the first week of May...2013. A code of 4614 means the tire was made in the first week of November, 2014. The 46th week of 2014.

Some of these OLDER tires can be reduced in price by as much as 50%....so be careful out there.
